    What Fruitful did

Stretch & Tents hires out stretch tents from Kingston upon Thames, for weddings, parties, corporate events and festivals. I started working with the team in April 2026. The priorities were to fix the website's search after a spam hack and find where the next bookings would come from. The office also needed to stop retyping the same details between systems.

I researched the market and the business's own booking history. I cleaned up the site, fixed its search foundations and wrote new content for it. I connected enquiries, payments and crew work across the office systems. Along the way I delivered six published research reports.

    Area by area

    Marketing and research

Marketing and software decisions now rest on the business's own figures. The ads assets and past client list are ready to use.

    • Marketing optionsDone

The team had no ranking of its marketing channels. I ranked fifteen channels against the business's own booking and revenue figures, with a ninety-day plan.

    • Competitor benchmarkDone

The team had no side-by-side view of its rivals. I compared Stretch & Tents with three rivals on filed accounts, kit, staff and search presence.

    • Hospitality bookings studyDone

Nobody had measured how pubs, restaurants and hotels book. I read the full booking history to show how the segment converts and when it books.

    • Keyword researchDone

The site had no keyword plan. I researched what customers search for and turned it into a content plan for the site.

    • Past client listDone

Over 11,000 contacts sat unused in Current RMS. I listed past, dormant and lost clients by sector and merged them into the outreach sheet.

    • Google Ads audiences and imagesBuilt

Paid search ran with no audience built from past customers. I built Performance Max image sets and Customer Match lists. They are ready to use.

    • CRM shortlist reportDone

Client history is split across Gmail and Current RMS. I compared the two shortlisted systems on 44 points and gave a recommendation for each time horizon. The team is now choosing between them.

    Website and search

The site is clean and its core structured data is live. Most of the new writing is loaded and waiting on review.

    • Search audit and spam clean-upDone

In April the site served Japanese spam to Google. I audited it for search and set out the fixes in priority order. I verified the site clean on 10 May 2026 and checked each fix again in September.

    • Structured data and AI search fileLive

In April the site carried almost no structured data. I added business and service structured data, live since 4 June 2026, and an llms.txt file for AI search tools. Four old category pages now redirect to the hire pages.

    • Image alt textDone

In April, 143 of 1,072 images had a written description. I added alt text to 372 images across the site.

    • Hire page rewriteLive

I rewrote the Hire page copy, and the new page went live on 21 August 2026.

    • Guides, venue guides and case studiesOn hold

No page answered what customers search for, such as cost, size and lead times. I wrote eighteen pieces and loaded them into WordPress as drafts. They wait on the team's review.

    • Tent size pickerBuilt

Size questions went back and forth before every quote. The picker suggests a tent size and layout from guest numbers. Sales signed off seven layouts, and the picker is on the staging site.

    • Stepped quote formIn build

Enquiries arrived without the detail sales need. The new form asks for event type, date, guests and venue step by step. It is on the staging site.

    Automation and data entry

The office no longer retypes enquiries, payments or jobs between systems. The workflows run in an account the business owns.

    • Website enquiries into Current RMSLive

Staff retyped each enquiry into Current RMS by hand. Now a customer record and draft opportunity appear within minutes. The workflow retries an enquiry Current RMS rejects three times each working day.

    • Payment alerts and job tagsLive

Someone checked the bank and shared screenshots to tell sales a client had paid. Now each Xero payment emails the team an alert and tags the job in Current RMS as paid, deposit paid or part paid.

    • Crew shifts and pick listsLive

Staff keyed each job into Connecteam by hand, and crews loaded from paper pick lists. Now invoicing a job drafts four shifts within the hour. Each shift carries the pick list as a tickable task and the job pack answers. Operations get a summary email for every invoiced job.

    • Job foldersLive

Site plans and paperwork were spread across inboxes and Current RMS. Now each enquiry gets a Google Drive folder. The job's files copy in each hour, and every shift links to it.

    • Failure alertsLive

Failures reached only me. Now a failed workflow emails the Stretch & Tents team as well.

    • Client email into the CRMBuilt

Client history sat in long Gmail threads. I loaded two years of shared inbox email into the CRM in July. I built the live feed that files each new email on the client's timeline, and it is not switched on yet.

    • Job change alertsIn build

A pick list that changes after the shifts go out does not reach the crew. I built the check for changed kit and dates, and it is not yet switched on.

    • Move to S&T's own n8n accountDone

Every workflow ran in my n8n account. On 16 September 2026 I moved all seven, with their saved data, into an account Stretch & Tents owns, and switched the old copies off. I wrote the guide the team uses to check, change and roll them back.

Built with Current RMS, Connecteam, Xero, Google Drive, Gmail, n8n, WordPress, Google Ads, Claude.
